Playmist ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile gaming platform that lets you play instant WebGL games and download premium offline games — all from a single app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Playmist mobile application (the "App"), our website at https://playmist.app, and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
By downloading or using Playmist, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.
We collect minimal data needed to run the app, show relevant ads via Google AdMob, and improve game recommendations. We do not sell your personal data. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time.

a) Information You Provide
Playmist does not require account registration to get started. If you choose to contact our support team, you may provide:
- Your name and email address (for support correspondence)
- Device or bug-report information you voluntarily share

When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically, including:
Device Information
Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID / IDFA)
Usage & Gameplay Data
Games launched, session duration, tap interactions, levels completed, and app navigation patterns
Network & Log Data
IP address, country/region, internet connection type, crash logs, and error reports
Advertising Identifiers
Mobile ad IDs used by Google AdMob to serve and measure advertisements (resettable in device settings)
Google AdMob & Advertising
How ads work in Playmist.
Playmist is free to play and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob, a mobile advertising platform operated by Google LLC, to display ads within the App. AdMob may collect and use data to show you relevant ads.
By default, AdMob may serve personalised advertisements based on your interests and browsing behaviour. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time by resetting your Advertising ID in your device's privacy settings or by enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" in your device settings.
What AdMob Collects
Google AdMob may independently collect the following data as described in Google's Privacy Policy:
- Mobile advertising ID (GAID / IDFA)
- Device type, OS version, and screen resolution
- IP address and general location (country / region)
- Ad interactions (impressions, clicks, rewarded ad completions)
- App usage patterns relevant to ad targeting
Ad Formats We Use
Rewarded video ads are always optional — you choose to watch them in exchange for in-game benefits. Interstitial ads appear between natural game transitions. We take care to limit ad frequency to keep the experience enjoyable.
Consent & GDPR / CCPA
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and California, we display a consent dialogue before serving personalised ads, as required by applicable privacy law. You may withdraw or update your consent at any time through the in-app Privacy Settings.
Analytics & Tracking
How we measure game popularity and interactions.
We collect basic analytics to understand how players interact with the App. This helps us surface popular games, fix issues quickly, and decide which new games to add. Our analytics are focused on aggregate patterns, not individual surveillance.

Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised before being used to make product decisions. We do not build individual user profiles for marketing purposes.
How We Use Your Data

- Operate, maintain, and improve the Playmist App and Services
- Personalise your game feed and surface trending or recommended games
- Deliver and optimise advertisements via Google AdMob
- Monitor App performance, detect crashes, and fix bugs
- Respond to support requests submitted by you
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats
We will never use your data to make automated decisions that significantly affect you, sell your personal data to data brokers, or share your data for purposes incompatible with those stated in this policy.
Data Sharing
Who else may see your data, and why.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Google AdMob / Google LLC — to serve and measure advertisements. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloud Infrastructure Providers — our hosting and database providers (operating under strict data-processing agreements) store app backend data securely.
- Legal Authorities — if compelled by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
- Business Transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred. You will be notified in advance.
Data Retention
How long we keep your information.
We retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy:
- Analytics & gameplay data — anonymised and aggregated after 90 days; raw logs deleted within 6 months.
- Support correspondence — kept for up to 2 years to assist with follow-up requests.
- Advertising identifiers — retained according to Google AdMob's own data retention policy.
- Crash & error logs — deleted within 60 days of the associated app version being superseded.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@playmist.app.
Children's Privacy
Our commitment to younger players.
Playmist is designed to be family-friendly. However, the App is directed at a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under 13.
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR-K framework in the EU. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA).
For users identified or suspected to be under 13, we configure Google AdMob to serve non-personalised, child-directed ads only in accordance with Google's Families Policy.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@playmist.app and we will promptly delete that information.

Opt-Out of Personalised Ads
You can reset or restrict your advertising ID at any time:
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
Security
How we protect your information.
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted database storage for backend data
- Regular security audits and dependency patching
- Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only
